Psychotherapist Joe Nucci Breaks Down Mental Health Buzzwords on New Luminary Original — Trailer Out Today

Gaslighting, Narcissism, ADHD. 6 signs you’re neurodivergent. Are you autistic?  These are just some of the mental health buzzwords popping up all over your feed these days. Is it real? Or are we just seeing the start to a mental health industrial complex?

New York, NY

Luminary, the leading subscription-based podcast and audio entertainment network, announced today it is releasing Therapy vs. the World—a new Luminary Original podcast in partnership with practicing psychotherapist Joseph Nucci.

Whether Joe’s busting pop-psychology, giving practical insights about human behavior, or making you think more deeply about some of mental health’s most important topics, his content always aspires to make a splash. He’s witty, playful and a bit provocative, but most of all he really cares. Mental health is his passion and he is on a mission to make everyone feel a bit sharper as they navigate the sometimes-confusing world of mental health culture.

The new Luminary show with Joe features experts in his field and outside of it, as we decipher what kind of mental health information is helpful for you and what isn’t.

About Joe Nucci

Meet Joe Nucci, the mental health maven with a twist! Before his clinical training at Northwestern University, Joe worked with executive coaches and corporate leaders, learning the art and science of mental fitness in the workplace. This formative experience has contributed to Joe’s understanding of how to communicate complex clinical ideas to a wider audience. Additionally, armed with a Bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University, where he mixed economics, political science, history, sociology and philosophy into a mind-blowing cocktail, Joe's intellect is sharper than a quip from your favorite late-night host. His undergraduate training underpins a lot of Joe’s content focusing on the intersection of mental health and popular culture.

But don't let the fancy degrees fool you – Joe's all about keeping it real. He's your go-to guy on a mission to bust pop psychology myths and add much-needed nuance to public conversations about mental health. In a world filled with quick-fix solutions and oversimplified advice, Joe's approach is all about digging deeper and offering insights that challenge the status quo. He's your source for mental health wisdom that's as substantial as it is accessible. He’s definitely not afraid of starting a spicy conversation.
